Don't allow mediocrity

I had lunch with an guy and he started to talk about  how everything had become so mediocre.  Customer service, roads and infrastructure, people's sense of accountability.
We see mediocrity everywhere. On the one hand, our expectations are higher than ever and on the other, companies are settling for less and less service.
Be the notable exception and grasp the big reward. Put the customer first in all you do, and think constantly in how you can differentiate your service. Don't allow mediocrity. Ever. It doesn't sell. It's no fun. Not for the customer. Not for you.
