Good words to live by

Often, life gets so busy, that it runs away from us; we struggle to balance our priorities, struggle to make time for our families, for ourselves and our work.

And sometimes, the chaos level rises because we don’t sit back and think about what is really important, the norms and values we hold dear.

Every begin semester at my boarding school we had to memorize and write out the aim of our school:

“The aim of the school is to train the mind and develop in its students the qualities of honesty, self-discipline, good health in body and mind, thoughtfulness and service to others”

I have to say, 32 years later, it is still great counsel!
