Trust your team that they will deliver for you

My friend John Clegg talks about one of the best managers he ever worked for, that he was inspirational, let his people get on with it and  was very practical about the basics.

That is a good formula. Trust your team that they will deliver for you. After all, its your team, you put the team together.  As a leader, motivate and inspire your team to achieve and exceed their goals.  Give them the direction and encouragement they need and let them get on with it.

And make sure the basic blocking and tackling is addressed with quality, good process and that it is measured and managed.  There is no sense in winning business if your collections are in arears, or if your new customer implementation process leads to early experience issues.
