Are we leaders or managers?

We often follow a good manager; a good manager motivates, administers and produces results. We feel comfortable, safe and secure in the knowledge we are doing what is expected.

And then there is the leader - the leader blazes a trail, sees the lone vision and recruits their team to join them on that adventure. They are capable of extraordinary results, they may swim against the tide and overcome many obstacles, but the vision is absolute and inspirational.

At what point in our lives do we make the choice, to not settle for being a good manager, but to become a leader?
