Do you love what you do?
Do you make time for the things you love to do?
When coaching executives, in discussions about career pathing, I usually hear career aspirations articulated in terms of job positions. People tell me what job they would like next.
I move the conversation to also explore what it is that we enjoy doing. The reality is, we don't love our position. We love the things we are able to do in the job. We don't dislike the position; we dislike pieces of what that job entails.
By thinking through what it is that really excites us, we can gain a broader perspective of opportunities that fit for us
