Be true to yourself

As leaders we have to come to terms with our non-negotiables. the ethics and values we stand for, the lines we won't cross.  These become part of the norms of our company.  Our employees look to us for guidance, not only in what we say, but in what we do. they are always watching.  All of you is on display, all of the time, so you had better be aware of what you stand for. Its a big responsibility. Self Awareness gives us a transparency that leads to the trust of our organization.  And we have to work on it all of the time.

Cyril Connolly wrote "Better to write for yourself and have no public than to write for the public and have no self".
