The Artist's Tao XXXI

from The Artist's Tao by Sean Starr:

XXXI Diligence

"There is no greater glory than to work hard for what you love most.

Work hard at developing your artistic voice"

Time is too short not to understand your true passions, the things that motivate you, excite you.  Work hard at that.  I read an article where it was proposed that we should identify the 20% of our time for which we should charge $1000/hour.  By doing that, we identify what time, what activities are most valuable to us and we can then work to do more of that, to apply ourselves hardest to the things that matter.  Be diligent with your priorities, whatever they are. Apply yourself to what matters!
