Amazing work by amazing people - Associação Saúde Criança

I just got back from Rio de Janeiro , working with the Ashoka NGO, Associação Saúde Criança (ASC), that I support. The progress we are making to scale from 20,000 families served to date is phenomenal. As the centerpiece of that effort, we have purchased a new headquarters which will serve more families as well as serve as the seat for training, research, lectures, workshopping around social inclusion imperatives, as well as deploying our methodology throughout Brazil and beyond. (The Center of Excellence)
ASC's family action plan is a two year holistic approach to taking impoverished families with critical illness from misery (life threatening) to Dignity (standing on their own feet).
The link below is an excellent paper on the work of this amazing institution, the impacts assessed by Georgetown University on sustainability of the model (incredible), and the strategic plans going forward.
The pea per is a long read but, trust me, it is well worth it and put a smile on your face that amazing work like this is being done around the world.
I for one, could not be prouder of this team!
